Krajowa Spółka Cukrowa S.A. develops a positive atmosphere in the Company, by ensuring work safety, hygiene and comfort, supporting professional development of its Employees and caring about their health, as well as by promoting healthy lifestyle. The Employees recognise the culture of this organisation – over 50% of them has worked at the Company for over 20 years (with the length of employment being 5–10 years for 10%, 10–15 years for 6%, 20–35 years for 5%, over 25 years for 11%, and over 30 years for 39% of employees).
A Collective Agreement concluded on 21 November 2006, following negotiations conducted by a team consisting of representatives of the Employer and of trade unions operating at the Company at that time is in force at the Company, supplemented by Work Regulations. A purpose of the Collective Agreement is to create an optimum system of remuneration and work conditions to protect Employees’ rights and interests and fulfil their social needs, while taking into account economic circumstances and conditions for KSC S.A. functioning and development. In particular, the Agreement specifies principles for remunerating, promoting and rewarding Employees, and terms and conditions for using services and financial benefits funded by the Company Social Benefits Fund.
Caring about health of our Employees and their families, the Company offers access to a range of private medical services, with an option for an appointment with numerous physicians, specialists, or for laboratory tests or rehabilitation.
Krajowa Spółka Cukrowa S.A. provides to its Employees a possibility to join a group life insurance. By joining this insurance, an Employee is provided an extensive protection, 24/7, all over the world. Not only the Employees, but also their spouses/partners and children can join this insurance.
The Company also cares about the future of its Employees, by maintaining an Employee Pension Scheme (EPS), with individual contributions paid each month, creating an additional capital for the future pension of each Employee. By joining EPS, the Employees not only gain additional funds from the Employer, but also increase them on investment funds selected by them. 100% of the contribution is paid by the Employer, and the Employees can pay additional contributions to the Schedule.
KSC S.A. Employees are offered professional development opportunities in accordance with rules for improvement of professional qualifications in force at the Company. The Company supports its Employees participating in training courses substantially related to a scope of entrusted tasks, and offering them an opportunity to participate in foreign language classes.
Company Employees are associated in trade unions representing all Employees on issues concerning collective rights and interests, regardless of a trade union to which they belong, while in individual cases each union organisation at a plant represents rights and interests of its members, and on request of a non-associated member, can protect their interests and rights against the Employer. The Employer is obliged to consult trade unions operating at the Company before making important decisions significantly concerning interests of the Employees.
